William W. Fletcher, for years a resident of Sherwood died in Seattle Washington Feb. 25, 1917. His death was due to tuberculosis and for the past several months he had been ill in a sanatorium. He was 21 years and 11 months old and was born in Monterey, California. He leaves a father, two sisters and three brothers to mourn his loss. His mother and sister, Eva, died about two years ago.
Mr. Fletcher was well known in Sherwood having gone to school here and his many friends deeply mourn his early death.
The body was brought to Sherwood for burial, accompanied by his sister, Mrs. Joe Epler of Seattle. Funeral services were held in the Congregational church, Rev Astleford preaching the sermon and interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. Hollingsworth & Son having charge of the funeral.
