Family Contribution:

Emma and Florence Harris were from the Whisky Hill area south of the river. Two sisters married two brothers: Emma and Florence married Edward and Alison Baker and lived on adjacent farms. Both boys were sons of Endymian and Sarah Baker, emigrants of 1853. Emma and Edward were the parents of several children, including Sidney, William and Gerald (former husband of Wilma (Evans) Baker, later Heater, and long-time teacher in Wilsonville School). Emma and Edward were her parents-in-law.  Emma lived until her death in the family home which still stands near the intersection of Bell and Graham's Ferry Road. Emma was affectionately referred to as "Aunt Emmy" in the family. She died of pneumonia after falling and breaking a hip after Thanksgiving dinner. Contributed by Stephen Baker
