Husband of Lucy (Fields) Fields

Submitted by John Klatt of Old Oregon:  Nelson Alexander Fields was the brother of Martha and Mary Ann Fields, born according to my records on Aug 14, 1821 in Mason County, KY and died on Feb 4, 1856 in Lafayette in Yamhill County. He married Lucy Judith Margaret Fields in 1843 in Weakley County, TN and they had six children. His wife was his first cousin, the daughter of William, brother of Ambrose.

After Nelson died, Lucy married Daniel Smith Sebastian, and had 3 more children. Another twist is that Daniel Sebastian's oldest daughter from his previous marriage, Maria Jane Sebastian, became the second wife of Joseph Alva Fields, another son of Ambrose. It is their house which we have the remnants stored in our barn. Fields Bridge Park gets its name from them, and that's where their house was located.
