General Notes:
Had a farm on present-day SW Baker Road. As was the custom at the time, farmers cleared and created roads to access their property, preferably on the property lines to save valuable farm land. The property became "donated" to the county road system. Early maps indicate this small stretch of road as "Harry Jost Road". Later named Baker Road for the many Baker homesteads and property along the road. Most of this road follows the north-south 1/4 Section line.
