Elizabeth Eleanor Brown Beach 1912 – 1995
Robert (Bob) and Elizabeth (Betty) Beach came to Portland in 1942 with their infant daughter Robin Susan. Sons David Clark and Christopher Stone, and daughter Candace Lindsley soon joined the family. The Beaches were active members of the First Unitarian Church. Bob worked as a training officer for the Bonneville Power Administration, and Betty was a teacher and community leader. Favorite family activities were daily mealtime conversations, vacations at the coast, sailing on the Columbia, and camping in the Cascades. Bob and Betty inspired their four children to dedicated careers in teaching, engineering, and social work. A decade after their passing, we cherish and remember our parents every day. Their patience calms us still, and their wisdom guides us onward. We honor their example and memory with a memorial stone in Pleasant View Cemetery near Sherwood Oregon, looking over the valley and mountains they loved so much. In loving memory, Robin Beach Lindsley, David Clark Beach, Christopher Stone Beach and Lindsley Beach Cross.
