The original ledger indicates a burial date of Jan. 24, 1863, which is clearly a recording error.  The Jan. 24 date may also be in error.

Family Contribution:  Daughter of Permelia (Baker) Tuckness and J.W. Tuckness. P. was sister of Endymian Baker, and J.W. was brother of Sarah (Tuckness) Baker. All crossed from Missouri in 1853 as part of the Baker Wagon Train with several brothers and families. It was likely that Sarah Tuckness was named for her aunt. In this case, Sarah Baker was Sarah Tuckness's both maternal and paternal aunt. (i.e., a Baker brother and sister married a Tuckness brother and sister).
